What Defined This Georgian New Build
A bespoke Georgian-style new build in Fambridge, created behind the old town library site and designed around space, character and modern family living.

Starting point
This project began with a unique site at Summerhouse in Fambridge, where the old town library once stood.
RJA Building & Maintenance Ltd was appointed to create a brand-new home behind the existing library structure, with full permission in place before the original building was demolished to make way for the driveway.
What needed solving
The brief called for a home that felt generous, practical and full of character.
The design needed to respect the traditional Georgian style, while giving Karen and Phil the space and comfort expected from a modern family home.

What we built
A key part of the project was the construction of a large double garage, designed to sit naturally alongside the Georgian-style architecture of the new home.
The property was built with five bedrooms, including two with en-suites, along with an office, plant room and well-planned living spaces for everyday use.
At the heart of the home is an expansive kitchen leading into an orangery, creating a bright, open area for family gatherings. The project also included a walk-in pantry and cart lodge, adding more practicality and character to the property.

The result
The completed home brings together classic Georgian influence and modern comfort in a way that feels considered, spacious and built for real family life.
From the distinctive windows to the kitchen, orangery, garage and cart lodge, every part of the project was shaped to create a bespoke family home with lasting appeal.
